Dominicks Grocery Stores Close Out Sale IL - The Stores & The Disgruntled Workers

I enjoyed shopping the sale with one exception, the employees at the Buffalo Grove Dominicks which reminded me on every visit since this sale started why Dominicks was so unsuccessful in gaining a greater grocery share in IL. I loved the deals and the savings year round and the occasional free items on my card but I will not miss the rudeness of some of the workers and the lack of their own store policy knowledge.  I believe that courteous, knowledgeable workers in a retail setting is absolutely necessary for success.

Example:
If the customer is being help there should not be a need for a "second" person to interrupt the transaction to accuse the customer of committing coupon fraud when that "second" person has little to no knowledge about coupons. I informed the manager that this experience will be shared and he promptly informed me that I don't need to worry because they will be closed in ten days.  I guess you don't need your loyal customers to assist you by purchasing your inventory.

I have never and will never commit coupon fraud because saving a couple of dollars would not worth getting blocked by the major coupon sites and being snubbed by manufacturers when I request coupons.  It was and is the most irritating experience in using coupon and one of the reasons why many people do not use coupons.  If your store is not coupon friendly and you use coupons you will always seek other stores to spend your money.

I would like to express my absolute gratitude to staff of at the Dominicks store on Half Day, I hope to see all of you when the store is converted to Marianos.  If not I wish you all success and I wish I was rich enough to be able to give you all gifts for the season and also gifts to support your transition if you will not be continuing your employment with the new owner.
